About us
BKLYN is located at Loostraat 1 situated at the
Pensquare. This square, attached to the Penstraat, and
the area around is the culinary heart of Curaçao
with a lot of hip spots. You’ll find it next to Pietermaai.
Spread Love
We like to express our passion for hospitality and our love for our island.
In the kitchen we use fresh ingredients, support local suppliers and use the cultures represented in Brooklyn and Curaçao to make a fusion of the cuisines.
Working with as much local staff as possible we try to teach and share our knowledge and experience with our
team members. Like the Notorious BIG told us: “Spread Love
it’s the Brooklyn way!”
A BKLYN tale
Martin & Jessica van Ast opened the doors of BKLYN in 2021 as a Gastrobar. Not your typical restaurant, but a place where you’ll have your food and drinks in a comfortable vibe.
Influenced by Brooklyn, one of the five boroughs of metropolitan New York, where Hiphop and street culture play a huge role. The melting pot of cultures is one thing Brooklyn and Curaçao have in common, which we try to use and show in our menus.
In BKLYN you’ll find big city vibes on a tropical island.
Fun fact: Jessica bought her wedding dress in Brooklyn.
